摘要：
The present study introduces a new approach to the hendecasyllables with stresses on the 4th and 5th contiguous syllables and the rhythmic development of the line. The contiguousness of the 4th and 5th syllables has been interpreted as a 'conflict' this work intends to resolve. The 4th syllable, when isolated from its rhythmic environment, presents a distinct behaviour.
