CONCEPTUAL APPROACHES TO PRISON RECIDIVISM

The issue of recidivism is what inspired the writing of this article, then if although From a point of view merely semantic, The Royal Academy of the Spanish Language, (2012) defines the term as reiteration of the same fault or defect and also the aggravating circumstance of the criminal liability consisting in the defendant being convicted of an analogous crime-relapsing-before the one with which he is being charged the meaning takes on a different connotation according to the geographic space, the historical time, social conditions, the population characteristics and the additional elements, decisive in the overtaking and the development of the recidivism.
