ANALYSIS AND PERFORMANCE OF 2.7-MU-M ER-3+ FIBER LASER-AMPLIFIERS AND OSCILLATORS

摘要
A mathematical model is described which estimates the performance of erbium doped fibre lasers and amplifiers at 1.5-mu-m or at 2.7-mu-m. The model has shown good agreement with experimental results and has been used to optimize the configuration of new systems. Continuous wave laser action has been demonstrated at lambda = 2.7-mu-m in an Er3+ doped multi-mode fluorozirconate fibre laser, pumped by an 800 nm laser diode.
