SUPERFLUIDITY OF DEUTERIUM GAS IN AN ULTRAHIGH MAGNETIC-FIELD

摘要
The superfluidity of a Fermi gas with anisotropic pair interaction is investigated for a deuterium gas in an ultrahigh magnetic field when the distance between the Landau levels ehB/mcBAR exceeds the Coulomb unit (Rydberg) me4/2h2BAR. It is shown that the main superfluid phase for the system is the mixture of Y10 and Y30 spherical harmonics. The thermodynamic properties of the system are considered. Formulas are derived for the order parameter, energy gap, critical temperature and specific heat. The possibility for a formation of the superfluid deuterium phase near a surface of white dwarf stars and neutron stars is discussed.
