摘要
This bibliographic work deals with the student's capacities of perception and attention in the classroom. They are fundamental for learning success, so they are indispensable for superior psychical functions, such as memory, reasoning, imagination and others, to be constituted and developed. This is the reason that justifies the research. From the Historical and Cultural Theory - Vygotsky, Leontiev, Luria's writings, among others, we observe the fundaments which defend the mediation among persons, and between persons and objects, as a condition for the process of humanization, which means that the superior psychical functions are formed by the interaction among subjects; among them and the objective reality. In this context, the main purpose is to show the teacher's role in the development of the student's perception and attention in the classroom, considering: first, the constitution of the psychical capacities in the sequence of human formation ( background), followed by the characteristics of the perception and attention development, and the possible interaction teacher/knowledge/student. The discussion showed that the performance of the teacher as mediator may increase the students' psychical capacities and achieve superior levels, depending on the teaching quality in the school environment.
