摘要：

The network is the instrument. Recent advancements in digital sensing and network appliances are used to demonstrate remote modal testing over the Internet. A modal test was performed by instrumenting a test structure at the University of Cincinnati and conducting the test from a location distant from the structure. The data was processed and the reduced modal data was then delivery over the Internet and VitalNet to several remote sites. This paper reviews the recent developments in hardware and software for remote testing and data delivery.
