摘要
The knowledge of employees of a company is the basis of all actions and decisions in the company and all existing (core) competences, which flow into products and services. Existing advantages in knowledge can be converted into competitive advantages by forward looking knowledge management. In addition there is an opportunity for increases in efficiency, creativity and quality. Locally different but often comparable boundary conditions, which are associated with similar problems, solutions, decisions and actions, prevail in the individual mines worldwide. Hence knowledge management in international mining companies or joint ventures can contribute to the availability and use of knowledge relevant to value creation without delay in all company divisions.
